Can anyone tell me the best way to set up user feedback?

I would like to be able to have Global Feedback give the user some of the feedback: Evaluation prompt and the Try Again prompt so that I don't have to enter that over and over within each quiz....

But for all other feedback, I like my users to get feedback specific to each individual quiz question:
1) When appropriate and possible (MC, MCH, etc), I would like the user to get specific feedback for each wrong answer- entered with the distractors
2) For each quiz, I want the user to get specific feedback for correct answer and initial prompt that I enter on the Question Feedback Settings form.

Is this possible? I can't seem to get it to work. Please advise me as I am wasting a great deal of time over this! When I preview my course, I am not seeing the global feedback -- I suspect this is because I have to check Override Feedback in order to enter the specific user feedback on each quiz. Is this the case? If so, please tell me I don't have to enter all the standard global feedback entries into EACH QUIZ.. Wouldn't that be awful?

Thanks.

It is possible to display global feedback at the time you override feedback for a specific question. Make sure the global feedback fields have the feedback text and that it is marked to provide feedback.

Then in the individual questions you can override feedback. Make sure the provide checkbox is checked. Then those fields that you want to use the global feedback make sure you don't enter anything.

Can you explain the relationship between the specific feedback (on Distractor Settings page) and the Incorrect Answer on the Question Feedback Page for a Multi-Choice Quiz... How does this work? If I complete the incorrect answer on the Question Feedback page does that over-ride any specific feedback I might give on the Distractor Page?

Specific feedback should override any other incorrect feedback.
