 text not showing up in text box on player

I have created a custom template with a text box. I have created an xml form. I am pretty sure the form is right as it is showing up in unison correcting and i copied it from the download 'customization tools. I created a text box on the template just like the text boxes found on all the other templates. Now my problem is when I go to type something in the text box what I type does not show up in the player even though the text box does.


Here is an example of my xml

<Tab label="Step 2: Text">
<Heading label="Text Settings"/>
<HTMLText label="Page Text" bind="pText" required='true'/>
</Tab>


Now I must admit if I am suppose to bind pText to the template I do not know where I am suppose to do that.

First thing to check is your XML file. See if once you enter text it is written to the pText tag inside the page. If that is happening you know your form is working correctly. Then you will need to look at the custom page you have created to see if it is reading the data in correctly. Following this troubleshooting path should help you find the problem.
