What are CoreTracks?

The 2005 IAAM District Meetings featured a programming element new the IAAM educational line-up.  CoreTracks, created from the work of the Body of Knowledge Task Force, are a series of educational sessions that focus on the four core principles of facility management identified by the BoK: Sales & Marketing, Administration & Fiscal Management, Facility Services & Operations, and Leadership & Management.  Participants may choose to pursue any one of the tracks, and possibly more than one contingent on the schedule of the district educational program.  Attendance is taken to verify participation, and additional coursework will be assigned during the course of the program. Participants who successfully complete the three-year curriculum in any track will be awarded recognition of specialized training, which will provide additional weighting value for entry into the Certified Facilities Executive program.  Completion of a CoreTracks will also apply to a mid-level recognition program in development by the IAAM Board of Education.
